POLIS, CYPRUS, OCTOBER 2003

Just a few snapshots here. We did take more pictures than this but most of them are of the cat that befriended Mo (or was it the other way round?), and her beautiful kittens.

AROUND THE POOL

We stayed at Evas Tourist Apartments, a small and friendly, family-run block adapted for wheelchair users.

We went diving just once. It wasn't very good so we didn't take any pictures but earlier in the week Mo was showing one of the other guests (also with MS) how to use a snorkel/regulator.

Relaxing by the pool.

OUT AND ABOUT

Cyprus has some good archaeological sites, though not as stunning as Turkey.

If you're going to build an amphitheatre, could there be a better location? Those Romans weren't daft.

These are some of the best Roman mosaics.

There was one stunning sunset on our way back from a day out. This picture really doesn't do justice to it - the sky was on fire, and that cloud is straight from a sci-fi artist's imaginary alien planetscape.

CATS AND BATS

As usual for us, the highlight of the holiday was the wildlife. Not quite on a par with lions and tigers but still entertaining.

No photos (for obvious reasons) but we enjoyed sitting by the pool at night watching the fruit bats flit overhead and then dive down to skim the water, sometimes in tight formation.

And, last but not least, the cat and her kittens (there are many, many more pictures where these came from!).

This milk tastes good!

So cute!
