PHOTOS(Click on any of the thumbnails to see a full size image - use the 'Close window' button to get back to this page) An aerial shot of the house in rather nicer weather than we saw for the first few months after we came back (and taken by professionals). A couple of shots of the garden on a rare sunny day (and taken with Steve's rubbish digital camera - got a better one now). St Peter's church is a typical, country parish church. Historic, beautiful and poorly attended. The farmland around Lilley has been the site of a number of crop circles and draws interested followers from around the world. This one was near Telegraph Hill. The village nestles in the gently sweeping hills of the surrounding countryside. You really can't tell it is just a mile or two from Luton. Really. And there are some fantastic footpaths and bridleways taking you on lovely country walks - all of which can be circular walks ending up at the pub next door! Looking from the hills North of the village you can (just) see the bungalow and how rural it all is. The picture on the left shows the sweep of countryside and the bit in the box is blown up to show the roof of the house in the picture on the right. And finally, for now, some of the sunsets visible from the house - though strangely only from the bedroom window. If we had our way we'd open the West-facing wall to a massive picture window looking over the paddock, up the hills and into the sky. |
