Desk and Internet research and reporting

The growth in the availability of information over the Internet and in the use of e-mail means you (and I) don't need to be surrounded by piles of out-of-date publications or sitting in a library to do quality research and policy analysis.

If you need, for example:

  • a survey of current practice in an area of service provision
  • analysis of developing policy
  • evidence of need or performance to present to your funders
  • to collect and synthesise the views of your stakeholders, perhaps for government consultations

... it can all be done using modern information and communication methods. These can include:

  • world wide web search and download
  • e-mail
  • web-based forms
  • telephone surveys

So, for taylormade research, contact me.

When Sutton Drug and Alcohol Action Team needed someone to develop a directory of services, they turned to the man responsible for 'Drug problems: where to get help' in 1998.
